Burnet Cove Burnet Cove () is a cove southwest of Mai Point, on the east side of Maiviken in Cumberland Bay, South Georgia. It was roughly surveyed by the Swedish Antarctic Expedition, 1901–04, under Otto Nordenskiöld; it was resurveyed in 1929 by Discovery Investigations personnel, and in 1951 by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey. The name Burnet, given by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee, is the English name of a plant (genus ''Acaena'') which is common in this vicinity.〔 == References ==
